Big Changes, Jobs, and Sweeps WINNERS!

Portland Music Month "See Shows, Win BIG" Sweepstakes Winners!!!

Portland Music Month (PDXMM) is our biggest annual fundraiser for the Echo Fund – MusicOregon’s grant program for creative projects. In 2023, our second year, we raised over $60,000 through sponsor support and a small upcharge on tickets to PDXMM shows. We will now seek matching funds from cultural support organizations to expand that total ahead of the Echo Fund application kick-off in June.

A major aspect of PDXMM 2023 was our “See Shows, Win BIG” sweepstakes, conceptualized to encourage repeat show attendance. By checking in at PDXMM shows, fans could earn exponentially greater chances of winning our incredible prizes. After PDXMM wrapped, fans were offered the opportunity to gain one more entry through a direct donation to the Echo Fund. We are thrilled to announce the following winners!

  • Fabio Apolito – 1974-1/2 Convertible MG Midget Roadster – Fabio attended a total of 3 shows at Jack London & Clinton Street Theater + donated to the Echo Fund

  • Kaitlin McQueeney – Cynergy E-Bike – Kaitlin attended a total of 6 shows at Holocene, The Doug Fir, The Crystal Ballroom & The Get Down

  • Dale Dauenhauer – First Class Airfare On Delta – Dale attended a total of 7 Shows at Holocene, Mississippi Studios & The Doug Fir + donated to the Echo Fund

We want to give a special shoutout to the PDXMM concert-goer who attended the most shows – Dana Robinson! Dana went to a total of TEN PDXMM shows AND donated to the Echo Fund! Though Dana's name wasn't selected in the random drawing, we MUST acknowledge her incredible support of live music, so we are cooking up a special "MVP" prize. Stay tuned; it's going to be good!

Prizes will be awarded later this month and we'll be sharing a video of the transfers!

Let's Make PDX the Music City We Deserve!

As we sent out two days ago, our community has a historic opportunity to directly influence our city's cultural plan! Sorry that the notice is short, but we hope that we will have a good crowd at SHOW BAR (within Revolution Hall) this Tuesday, February 21: 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM, where the City's Our Creative Future project is asking to hear from working independent musicians and those who host shows (venues and promoters). If we want the respect and support of elected leaders and to be included in cultural decision-making, we must participate in the process. If you can join this meeting, please make it a priority. Your presence and ideas are invaluable!

UPDATE: The March 24 online session open to all artistic communities has sold out, so we are working on scheduling another session to gather more input, specifically from the independent music community. We'll let you know when that comes together.
