For the first time EVER, our music community is invited to participate in developing Portland's official cultural plan that will direct investment, policy, and enforcement decisions for years to come. Historically, this plan has only considered artistic forms that fall within the traditional nonprofit Arts & Culture systems, not commercial, popular music.

We have an opportunity to reimagine how the arts can better serve and represent our changing, growing communities, and your voice and participation are vital. What role can working musicians and independent venues play in shaping our creative and cultural futures? What challenges limit the creative and cultural offerings that you'd like to produce? This is our chance to speak and be heard, and it's also OUR MOMENT TO LOSE! Please don't sit this one out – We need you!
